Anyways, pics of my "highlighted" hair. You can't see these really well in the light but I gave it a try. I'm not posting these to fb...just, cause. lol

Maturity and hair :)
I sometimes wish I was more mature about certain things in life. People and things aren't what they used to be and yet, I still react to them as if they are. Maturity, in this context, probably entails letting go, moving on, and also being open and accepting what things have changed to. A lot to supposedly ask but this skill will probably come in handy in the long run. Gotta learn to be more flexible and less stubborn SOMETIME in my life...

i like! i always though darker/black hair looks hott with red in it! gonna highlight mine at the end of march. it's my reward to myself ... and to make things right the way they were (my hair color i mean)
ReplyDeleteOooo I really like it! I didn't think it'd be a big change, but somehow it is.. it just adds more 'depth' to you hair with the different shades. You look great! And I understand about the maturity thing :-p I need that too.
ReplyDeleteI like your hair too!!!
ReplyDeleteI hear you about the maturity thing. Not entirely sure what you are referring to specifically in this post. But I often wonder when I'll be a full blown adult maturity-wise...
Also, I miss you! That is random, but somehow seeing these pictures made me very aware that it's been a while...
I feel like the lighting in my bathroom (b/c it's a fluorescent energy saving bulb), gives the highlights a bit of an orange tinge. However, the highlights really are a darker, more cranberry shade of red that I actually like a lot better than these pics show :). I am finding out a lot about hair color though this time b/c red is a very hard color to maintain! :P
ReplyDeleteAnnnnd, I miss you all as well :). It's been since the summer since I've seen most of you (if not all of you guys) so it'll be a good reunion when I do. I'm not too sure if it will be any time in the near future unless ya'll come down here though :). Cauuuse, my schedule's not really going to let up anytime soon...Step I in April and rotations almost right after. And even with rotations, weekends off don't really work when it comes to long distance traveling. So, I guess what I'm saying and realizing more and more as we get older that our reunions will happen at the big life events e.g. marriage, babies, etc. So, perhaps Christine's wedding sometime in August will be the next time I see a lot of people. After that, someone else needs to get married (and I need to be invited lol) ;)! So hurry up people cause I miss my friends ;)!
Yay for the eco-friendly lightbulb! They can be kind of weird color-wise though...
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, red hair is really hard to maintain! When I was red, I redid it every 3 months or so, so I always did at-home boxes for all my hair instead of highlights, because it would've been so expensive to maintain otherwise :(
I actually have looked into flying to Memphis for a few days over spring break, but the plane tickets are sooo expensive and you'll be studying for Step 1 anyways :( Buuuut... graduation is a big life event ;-) Unfortunately you'll probably be doing rotations during mine :(
