Whew...lots of stuff has happened between my last post and now. I can't believe it's almost been a month since my last post...Sorry guys and gals! I'm truly quite a slacker....
Well, to keep this post semi-compacted since it's been so long, I'll just hit the highlights.
1) I passed the National Registry of EMT exams so I got my license last week in the mail! I actually didn't get to to take one of my exams until January 2nd so that's why it's so late. I was quite bummed about that.
2) I had a little bit of a freak out this week when I found out that UT-Memphis actually wanted a response in 2 weeks from the time of the admission invitation...I got accepted on Nov. 30th. You do the math. I totally freaked. I called them yesterday and they said that my spot was still open so a HUGE sigh of relief from me. Yesterday was a bit stressful to say the least.
3) I've done a lot of traveling in the past 2 weeks...Driving through GA and FL, going to the Bahamas, driving back through GA and stopping in Atlanta for a night, went to Asheville, NC (to see the Biltmore house)...
Firstly, the cruise was really nice =). The drive down was long and I felt bad for my parents who drove the whole way =/...The weather was good the whole time and it was definitely fun (c'mon...free movies, dancing, food and drinks 24/7...plus, Captain Jack Sparrow was on board ;) )...I have to say that cruises are kinda meant to be experienced with others. Being alone on a cruise would stink...Let's see....We watched National Treasure 2 (a decent movie) and Enchanted (that was like the 3rd time I've seen this movie) while we were on board. We went snorkeling at Disney's own island, Castaway Cay and found a starfish. We also got to see a sting ray, a live sand dollar, and a crab. Overall, though, the Bahamas was really tourist-y which was disappointing. I did get a bit motion sick but with a little help from my friend, Transderm, I made it =).
Atlanta was fun too. Got to meet up with Wayne for lunch. I know too many people in Atlanta so for those of you in Atlanta, I'm sorry I didn't get to drop by and say hi =(. We went to the Coca-Cola factory (we tried every single flavor pretty much), the CNN center, and walked around Centennial Park. I had actually never been to downtown Atlanta so it was nice to see a part of it. The park is really beautiful but unfortunately, because of the drought, the fountains weren't on =/...The CNN center was probably my favorite because it was really cool to see how the news was put together behind the scenes.
4)...but I also did a lot of staying at home and just chilling. It was good. We had a mini Star Wars marathon because I hadn't watched Episode III yet so we ended up watching 3, 4, and 5. We went ice skating (I fell twice. He didn't fall =P). We also went cosmic bowling...I broke 100 3 times! a miracle! lol...We ate out a lot...explored southern food, picked up southern accents ;), ate lots of sushi haha =).
Anyways, I think that's it. You guys can see all the pictures on facebook...I won't post any more on this blog at least.
Last but definitely NOT least, I'm going to be in Cleveland on the 13th!!!!!! I can't wait!
