This is a picture of the very wonderful dozen of pink and red roses that really surprised me and made me feel special on Valentine's Day =)
Celebrating Valentine's Day this year was pretty amazing and I realized how truly blessed I was...
As for what's gone on for the past month since my last post =P (oops)...
Home was good for Chinese New Year. It was my first time being an emcee for something and it was odd...I didn't get any stage fright or nervousness at all. Overall though, it was busy and I'm pretty sick of traveling. It's especially hard to look for a job too while I'm going in and out so I'm trying to deal with the pressure that I give myself and the pressure that I feel from other people about getting a job.
I leave for Cambodia in only 4 days and I'm worried that I'm in no condition to go on a mission trip at this moment. I also don't want to treat this mission trip as some panacea..some "cure-all" from all that I'm dealing with right now.
Family issues and personal issues...and God has been faithful to me through it all...it's been an extremely tough week for me emotionally, mentally, and physically and yet He still speaks to me every day through His Word. As each day passes, I'm realizing that His Word is my lifeline right now...
"Your statutes are my delight;
they are my counselors.
I am laid low in the dust;
preserve my life according to Your Word.
I gave an account of my ways and You answered me;
Cause me to understand the way of Your precepts,
that I may meditate on your wonderful deeds.
My soul is weary with sorrow;
strengthen me according to Your Word"
Psa 119:24-28
YAY!! You updated! Your roses are absolutely gorgeous and I'm so thrilled that you had a blessed valentine's day :-D
ReplyDeleteAs for the missions trip, don't worry- I know this sounds cheesy, but God knew you would take this trip when you would take it before you were born. He wants you to know Him more, and He planned it accordingly :) I'm sure He has His reasons. We'll be praying for you!
i'm praying for you, sis! God is faithful and will complete the work He's begun in you :)
