My day went pretty well. I attribute that to my Friday night being a phenomenal rescue and turnaround (once again) to God and His amazing way to pick me up and reenergize me.
But this entry isn't about me really...it's about my one professor, who's named Fabio.
The name in and of itself is amazing, firstly (I think he's from Europe somewhere cause he has a VERY thick accent AND he can't lecture lol...bad lecturer/teacher).
The first time he lectured for our class (last week. We have multiple different lectures for 1 course and they change each block too.), he wore purple pants. It was a deep purple. And they matched his powerpoint slide background. Interesting. Don't know if that was intentional...
We checked at the next lecture. Nope. No color coordination between the slides and his pants.
Today, his clothes were fine (blue collared shirt with dress pants)...BUT he got a haircut. Aaand it was a fauxhawk. A short one. But it was one nonetheless.
LOL...sweeeeeet ;)
That made my day. Not many people were in class for the lecture (cause he's a horrible lecturer...I was there cause I'm an auditory learner 110%) so they missed it. I am so glad I did NOT miss this one in a lifetime opportunity to catch Fabio with a fauxhawk. Nice.
I thought I would post this as one of (few and rare) amusing med school stories that normal people would actually find amusing (you don't want to hear what else we find amusing as med students now...)
Hey Jessica,
ReplyDeleteHow's med school? Haha, I can only imagine the number of sleepless nights you've had. Thanks for the comment. I never meant for that post to have been public, but after your comment I decided to just leave it there.
It's been a laughingly painful couple of months. However, God is good and I am holding firmly onto that with both hands. I do not know what my immediate future will hold, but I will be most likely interning with my church sometime soon and applying to seminary in the near future (absolutely no clue when that will happen). I am also speaking to ACCC's youth group at the end of November. It'll be my first "sermon". The weight of what that task requires has instilled a healthy amount of fear and reverence in me...haha.
Hope you're doing well up there. Praying for ya.
Richard
