I've been wanting to make this video for a really long time. The idea has been marinating in my brain for awhile. I hope you guys like it. It's different from the first ever video that I made for youtube in 2007 (I believe in miracles). This is a different subject and definitely more intense.
My goals of this video:
1) To document the major conflicts/catastrophes of the year 2008.
2) To express the tension that Christians often have between the present and the future which results in a cry to God.
3) This cry results in a renewed sense of hope and renewed sense of discovery of who Jesus Christ is. And as my most important goal, it is my hope that viewers (Christian and non-Christian alike) will be able to see the hope that I have put at the end of the video (in song, in testimony, in pictures, and in biblical verse).
I hope you guys enjoy it. I have many more ideas for videos that I will probably make in the summer. Hopefully. This is an area that I am enjoying as a hobby. Btw, the video is 5min 30sec long for those who are really scheduled.

Wow. This really touched me and brought me to tears, and did exactly what you set out to do. The verses were so beautiful and applicable (some I hadn't read the full verses), and so were the images.
ReplyDeleteI also had heard recently about that athiest who said that Africa needs Christianity. In a way, that's incredibly encouraging to me - for Jesus and Christians to get some recognition for the unique difference He/we make. Whoever told me about that (I forgot who) suggested that it was strange that this man thought that Africa needed Christianity, but America doesn't - that it was showing a sense of cultural superiority. I think it was Joyce.. chime in if you said this, because it was an interesting conversation!
Thanks Sheila :). It means a lot to me when people encourage and support the things that I do in my life whether its my hobbies (videos, photography) or med school.
