There are few things in this world that truly allow me to have a taste of heaven. There were a couple of things that happened today that allowed me to have a taste (usually that sends tears running down my face for a good 10-20 minutes at least) and it made me think about the few experiences that I've had. So here's my short list:
- reading the Chronicles of Narnia books - especially the last one, "The Last Battle" (and sometimes it happens when I'm watching the films too)
- worshipping and praying with all who are affiliated (or not affiliated) with Bread of Life Christian Church at their conferences
- my friendships
- my time in Cambodia
I might add to this list later if i think of something...

On another note, a friend told me that i have a high-strung personality. In general. Meaning, I take things too hard and too seriously. So his recommendation was that I smoke pot.
He was kidding of course...but I kinda want to know everybody else's opinion about that (not your opinion about smoking pot for medicinal purposes)...Do you think I'm high-strung?
I'll post about semi-attending the BOLCC conference later...there were some interesting tidbits but it's 1:40am over here and I should go to bed =P
Hi Jess,
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to leave a little comment, and to say I liked your metaphor a few posts back about the room(s) of the heart. Although I'm not sure how much I agree that men's and women's hearts are essentially different in that way.
Take care, and drop me an email sometime!
Love
Vicki
